The lunch meeting place today seems to have been a restaurant near the landmark at Chiba Port.
This was the restaurant that was also recommended by the Madam of the General Affairs Department when we met in June.
We look forward to hearing their report tomorrow.
There are still four months of training ahead of them before their assignments begin.
The demanding days will continue for both the candidates and us, but we sincerely hope that welcoming these JPEPA candidates—the first we have received in quite some time—will be a great success.
When we first began accepting EPA candidates, the staff in charge were still young and full of energy and vitality.
However, more than 15 years have passed, and now that we have increased foreign staff through various routes beyond just the EPA program, the support of former candidates who have grown, as well as that of other staff members, has become increasingly indispensable.
One of our important missions looking ahead is to ensure that, even if the staff responsible change over time, our facility's stance and commitment to welcoming foreign staff remain universal and unchanged.
We hope to continue working to firmly root the acceptance and support of international staff as a part of our facility's culture.
